Therapy For Women Who Give So Much In Newton, Boston, Needham, Middlesex, Norfolk

and Suffolk Counties Massachusetts

You feel like you're drifting—maybe even lost. You give everything to those around you, yet no one seems to be there to take care of you. It’s as if you’re drowning, and no one notices.

The weight of it all makes you feel sick, sometimes so much that you miss work. If one more person asks for something, you might just explode. Your eating habits are all over the place—just last night, you finished an entire pizza. You’re at your breaking point. You’re constantly giving, yet those around you still complain about your attitude.

They say:

"You’re angry."

"You’re too negative."

"You don’t take care of yourself."

"I’m worried about you."

But they don’t see how much you already do. You’ve always taken care of everyone else. And in return? More demands. More expectations.

You’re running on empty, and there’s nothing left to give…

You’re ready for a change. You long for support—someone outside your usual circle, someone who isn’t constantly asking for more from you. You want to feel secure in your relationships, with strong, healthy boundaries that protect your well-being. You’re ready to be cared for, not just the one always doing the caring. It’s time to reclaim your balance, your peace, and your sense of self.

I am Abigail Blackburn.

The kind of therapy I practice is called interpersonal or relational therapy. This approach focuses on the relationships in your life—past and present—and how they shape your emotions, behaviors, and sense of self. Our early experiences, especially those in childhood, play a significant role in how we navigate relationships as adults. We often carry unspoken lessons, patterns, and expectations that can impact our ability to connect, communicate, and set boundaries.

In interpersonal therapy, we explore these patterns with curiosity and compassion, helping you recognize what’s working, what’s not, and how to create healthier, more fulfilling relationships. Whether you're struggling with conflict, emotional disconnection, or people-pleasing tendencies, this therapy offers a space to understand your relational dynamics and develop new ways of engaging with others.

By deepening your awareness and making intentional shifts, you can experience more meaningful connections, a stronger sense of self, and the confidence to set boundaries that honor your needs.

Using interpersonal or relational therapy I can help you reach that change you are looking for.

I can help create boundaries and feel secure in your relationships. I can help you explore and protect your well-being. I can help you find that balance and sense of self you are looking for.
